Sam Sitarik, MA, LPCC

Coupled with a warm and optimistic demeanor, Sam provides a safe and judgement free space where clients are free to express themselves. While providing coping skills and a listening ear during difficult times, she also values the use of humor and being your genuine self in the therapeutic process. Sam strives to create an environment in which clients feel understood, cared for, and worthy of their own happiness. The constant rush of life can be overwhelming and stressful – Sam provides clients with an opportunity to be mindful, look inward, and focus on what they are feeling in the present moment. Accepting of all identities, bodies, and kinks, Sam is sex positive and offers a compassionate space for everyone; We are all discovering ourselves and learning to grow in our own ways.

Sam's Qualifications

Sam Sitarik is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate at Flower of Life Counseling. Originally having a background in art, she found her passion for helping others when she took a position as an intern therapist at a women’s prison. Providing empathetic care to a population that needed warmth and genuineness sparked a passion for Sam that has propelled her to where she is today as a clinician. Sam received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Meadville, Pennsylvania at Allegheny College. After, she earned her Master of Arts in Forensic Mental Health Counseling at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, where she ran group and individual counseling sessions. During her time in the field, Sam has developed a unique background in working with court ordered clients who suffered from sexual dysfunctions and mood disorders. She also has received special training in emotionally focused couple’s therapy, gender minority stress, kink lifestyle, and trauma-informed CBT. She has experience in working with difficult life transitions, anxiety, depression, ADHD, sex and intimacy issues, and navigating LGBTQ+ identities.

Katy London, MS, LPCC

Katy strives to create a non-judgmental, warm, and even humorous therapeutic environment where individuals and couples feel safe and valued. Katy likes to approach to counseling in a holistic, integrative, and personalized way, as she believes it is incredibly important to recognize and honor the uniqueness of each individual. Poly and kink aware, Katy is also open and affirming to all genders and sexual orientations. She is intentional in providing a space in which individuals, couples, and families can explore their beliefs and behaviors to find coping skills that work for them and process experiences and emotions that might be holding them back. Given her background as a registered yoga teacher, she frequently utilizes approaches that are healing for trauma and the nervous system through calming meditation, stress relieving breathing exercises, and movement in addition to traditional treatment modalities. Counseling is all about finding yourself and understanding how to connect in your relationships.

Katy's Qualifications

Katy is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate at Flower of Life Counseling. She received her first degree through Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing. Katy then graduated from the University of Houston-Victoria with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Katy has special training in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), integrated to help couples reach new and deeper levels of communication, emotional and physical intimacy. Katy is experienced in working with multicultural and diverse populations and has additional training on interventions related to sex, desire, and relationship issues.

Eva Sitarik

Specialties: Napping | Giving love | Cuddling | Non-judgmental listening

Eva is a 1-year-old Mi-ki puppy who is Flower of Life Counseling’s emotional support dog. She loves to greet clients when they come to session and provide cuddles when things get heavy. An unrivaled listener, Eva always gives a non-judgmental ear!
